Mysore practice is the traditional, self-paced method of learning Ashtanga Yoga. Instead of following a teacher who leads the whole class through asanas, students practice the Ashtanga sequence independently at their own pace. The teacher moves around the room, providing personalized adjustments and one-on-one instruction to each practitioner.
The set sequence of Ashtanga asanas (postures) is taught to each practitioner individually with new postures added as strength flexibility, stamina and focus are attained
The set sequence is practiced daily and, over time, increases in difficulty.
Students build a Yoga practice in a safe and insightful manner.
Mysore style is open to all levels, no previous Yoga experience needed.
